Broochs R.I.P. Dolls. Series #1

Introducing the new R.I.P dolls design inspired broochs.

I chose to make them heart shaped as it is a symbolism representing

the essence of each doll.

First sketches of the R.I.P. Dolls

I have received the first and fantastic sketches of our Adelaide and

Séraphine, drawn by Pilar Nayru Manso. Right now I am working on them

digitally, so you can see the final result as soon as possible.

Lyn

Kumo

クモ

Kumo is fun, easy going, a bit crazy and always ready to have a good time. She admits to like provocation and breaking rules. Even though she defines herself as a  lively person also needs moments of quietness. Kumo likes climbing any high spot and looking for hidden spots in which read a book. Another of her hobbies (even though she would not admit it) is hunting bugs.

Tomodachi

トモダチ

Tomodachi is kind, enterprising and greatly disciplined. Obsesed with order and cleaning, he gets nervous as soon as something escapes his control. His passion is music and some of his favorite bands are Dir en Grey and Malice Mizer.

Tomodachi measures 40 cm. (15.7 inches) and is completely sewn by hand. 

His skin is white cloth.

His facial features were hand-painted with acrylic paints and fabric marker.

To prepare the dress we have used black vinyl fabric, chains, tacks and two feathers.

This doll is poseable thanks to its wire structure and its filled with fiberfill.

Tomodachi is a doll for decoration, not recommended for young children.

Fuyu

フユ

Fuyu is a responsible, polite and introvert doll. She admits her natural state is melancholy and usually has a very romantic view of everything that happens to her. 

She is proud of a birthmark she has under her left eye, given that is something that makes her different  from the rest.

She also has a great interest in fashion and her favorite colors are black and white.

Another of her hobbies is reading comics, some of her favorites are: Princess Ai and Paradise Kiss.

Fuyu measures 38 cm. (14.9 inches) and is completely sewn by hand. 

Their skin is white cloth and hair of synthetic wig.

Her facial features were hand-painted with fabric marker.

To prepare the dress we have used black and white lace fabric, black fabric, lace, tulle and black patent leather.

You can use her hairpin as a brooch!!

This doll is possible thanks to its wire structure and its filled with fiberfill.

Kyuri

キュリ

Kyuri sees himself as discreet and somewhat shy, but these are traits that disappear once a person shows him their trust. As the nature lover he is, he likes having long walks in lonely and misterious forests. Kyuri is vegetarian and an activist against animal cruelty. He is deeply in love with Loella Pelerin and Ann Shirley.
His favorite anime is Blue Seed, but also enjoys watching Mononoke Hime now and then.

His facial features were hand-painted with fabric marker.
To prepare the dress we have used black fabric and black felt.

Katsura

カツラ

She is defined as a lively, positive doll, in which you can rely on. Sometimes she is a bit too touchy and impulsive. She shares with her friend Kyuri her love for nature and declares herself against nuclear power.
Her favorite music genre is psytrance and can spend hours dancing in her favorite clubs.
Another of her hobbies is reading comics, some of her favorites are: Appleseed, Digimortal and Ghost in the Shell.
One of her favorite animes is Parasite Dolls.

Katsura measures 38 cm. (14.9 inches) and is completely sewn by hand. 
Her skin is made with white cloth and she has hair of wool.
Her facial features were hand-painted with fabric marker.
To prepare the dress we have used yellow fabric, black patent leather, pink and yellow lace, pink tulle and tights. 
This doll is poseable thanks to its wire structure and its filled with fiberfill.
Katsura is a doll for decoration, not recommended for young children.

Lyn Ningyo are already here!

Today is the big release!. Lyn Ningyo series are out today, starting with Katsura, this new stage is devoted to one of our passions, manga and anime.

As a preview of what's to come, here are the names of the rest of the dolls of this series:

Lyn Ningyo News

Because of the release of the new collection, I want to give you more details about it. 

The new dolls are a different concept to the R.I.P. Dolls but the doll´s structure and their production is similar. 

As i said in the last post, they are based on japanese manga and anime but at the same time they are focused on the Harajuku´s styles, always for my own point of view. 

Their names have a special meaning for me because they remind me of my Japanese classes.
